Superstar Rajinikanth suffered an accident, a minor injury on his leg during the filming for his film 2.0, the sequel to his hit film, Enthiran.
It was reported that he fell down, on late Saturday evening, at a shooting location on the outskirts of Chennai.
Rajinikanth was immediately taken to the Chettinad Hospital near Kelambakkam. An official in the hospital said, “The actor was in the hospital for half an hour from around 8:45 pm. The minor injury was dressed and he returned fine.” The actor was sent home with a suture on his leg.
“Rajinikanth fell while filming a crucial scene and hurt one of his knees. He was taken to Chettinad hospital where the superstar underwent treatment for about half an hour. Later, he returned home,” a source from the film’s unit said.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the superstar is doing alright. In a video released by Rajinikanth’s manager Riaz K. Ahmed on his Twitter page, he is seen exiting his caravan, waving at fans and then entering his car.
2.0 has the highest budget of whopping Rs. 400 crores is being directed by Shankar. It also stars Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in important roles.
