MUMBAI: Bollywood actress and sultry siren Bipasha Basu reveals that her upcoming horror flick ‘Aatma’ is about a modern day women…

Bipasha couldn’t resist tweeting about the promotional event: “At the R city Mall event! ‘Aatma’ team tried singing! Fun! It’s my dream to sing one song once at least! What a gift to have!”

Spotted at the promotions of her film in Mumbai recently, the Bong bombshell was forthcoming, when it came to revealing facets of her character’s traits and personality, and the struggles she had to face while filming. Said the dusky Bollywood beauty, looking stylish in a short printed mini-dress, “It is about a modern day woman, who is successful, good at job but she is vulnerable when it comes to protecting her loved ones. There is a realistic approach to the three characters in the film.”

Director of ‘Aatma’, Suparn Verma was quick to add that both his lead actors, Bipasha and Nawazuddin were traumatized while filming. “I mean it has traumatized both the actors. It has traumatized me while writing it and I can only imagine what impact it will have on the audience.”

He was also quick to praise his actors for their professionalism, and willingness to translate his vision on celluloid: “Both the actors were willing to go into the unsafe zone that they have never been in before. For Nawaz it was a very deep personal space that he had to go in and get totally psyched about. Bipasha has gone through hell emotionally during the making of ‘Aatma’.”

Asked why Bipasha was his choice to play the mother, Suparn said, “I signed Bipasha before ‘Raaz 3’ happened. We began shooting four months after the release of the film, which is good for us because it was a huge hit.”

Also present at the promotional event was the film’s leading man, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and singers Sangeet and Siddharth Haldipur and Anusha Mani.
