MUMBAI: Yes folks, you read that right. Sunny Leone, the adult entertainment star and now Bollywood actress is advocating birth control as a prevention measure.
But we don’t mean birth control for humans! Confused? Sunny Leone has undertaken her role as campaigner for ‘People For Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) so seriously, that the sexy siren is now going all out to create awareness for birth control measures for dogs!
We caught up with the sizzling Indo-Canadian beauty at a PETA event in Mumbai on Thursday, where Sunny revealed how important she thinks it is for dogs to get sterilized and undergo birth control measures for their well-being. She unveiled PETA’s new campaign involving birth control for animals.
What’s interesting to note is how quickly one-film old Sunny Leone has managed to create waves in B’town. Sunny Leone was last seen in filmmaker Pooja Bhatt’s erotic thriller ‘Jism 2’, is enjoying every bit of the fame she has earned in Bollywood. Says Sunny, “I’m living my dream. A year back, I never thought that I would be doing Bollywood films, but here I am doing and loving every moment of it. I am completely enjoying the ride.”
Sunny Leone will be seen next in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming production ‘Ragini MMS 2’, and she says that she wants to be taken seriously as an actor. “I agree that I am not a veteran actor. I am just taking baby steps in Bollywood. But the fact is that I’m ready to give my 100% to learn. I want to be offered roles that give me ample opportunity to prove myself. I am a no drama person and I want to work with people who are like that,” she says.
We naturally asked if Sunny is open to doing item numbers, as is the norm in Bollywood these days? “Of course, Why not? Item numbers are important in Bollywood and they are fun to do.”
We wonder if Sunny ever worries about being perceived negatively as an adult entertainment tar, to which she responds, “I don’t really worry about it, as I can’t change people’s perception about me. But I am hopeful that it will change with time and I will be known as serious actor.”
