MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One has done stupendous business across India in its second day at the box office.
As per early estimates, the movie’s Hindi version did net collections of a whopping Rs 230 million (Rs 23 crore) on Thursday. The dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions of the movie additionally collected approximately Rs 20 million (Rs 2 crore) on day two. This is the highest ever collections of a movie for a single day even surpassing Bodyguard’s record breaking first day collections of Rs 210 million (Rs 21 crore). Bodyguard’s second day net collections were approximately Rs 175 million (Rs 17.5 crore).
As was reported earlier by Businessofcinema.com, the first day collections of Ra.One were Rs 147 million (Rs 14.70 crore). With this, the two days net collections of the movie in India stands at Rs 377 million (Rs 37.70 crore).
Releasing over the extended festive weekend, Ra.One opened across more than 4,000 plus screens worldwide (3,100 plus screens in India and 904 prints internationally, including 3D, Tamil and Telugu).
