Bollywood’s Dabangg Salman Khan’s recently released film Bajrangi Bhaijaan is on a record breaking spree. The film is talk of the town for the splendid business it is doing at the Box Office. After its third weekend and third Monday run at the Box Office, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is still going strong and has collected Rs. 289.11 crore net (2891.1 million) approx. so far. Director Kabir Khan’s action drama film has already beaten Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3’s lifetime Indian collections i.e. Rs. 280 core net (2800 million) approx and now the film is inching closer to joining the super elite club of Rs. 300 crore with each passing day!

While we are talking about recently released films that have blown us away completely, how can we forget director S.S. Rajamouli’s mythological drama film Baahubali, which has become first non-Hindi film to cross Rs. 500 crore mark with its worldwide collections. In India, Baahubali became the first Hindi dubbed film to cross 100 crore mark recently. If compared to Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the magnum opus had a little advantage, as it was released in four languages and not just one. Yes, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Baahubali was screened to more than 3000 screens in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. The film grabbed massive amount of crowd in theatres for its wide offering and language preferences.
However, if solely looked at the collections, Baahubali pulled in from its Hindi version, it’ll be totally unfair to put Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Baahubali on the measuring scale. Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan crossed 100 crore mark on its first weekend itself, whereas Baahubali‘s Hindi version only recently joined the 100 crore club.
Both the films are doing equally mesmerizing business and a record breaking run at the Box Office if we consider their respective elements. Baahubali had made Telugu cinema industry proud by crossing 500 crore worldwide, whereas Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is hell-bent on crossing the 300 crore mark and breaking yet another record in India!
