In this new trailer of director Nancy Meyers upcoming comedy film The Intern, ace Hollywood actor Robert De Niro reveals why he became an intern. The trailer starts with Robert De Niro saying, “In retirement, there’s an ongoing relentless effort in creativity.” De Niro continues. “I tried yoga, learned to cook, bought some plants, took classes in Mandarin — believe me, I’ve tried everything. I just know there’s a hole in my life and I need to fill it. Soon.”
Apparently, Robert’s windowed character reveals as the trailer starts that he is feeling post-retirement blues and after trying a lot of things to stay creative and failing at it, he takes an internship at an e-commerce company in order to keep the creativity in him alive. This is going to be one fantastic film as two of the most loved actors and Academy Award winners Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro share the screen space with each other! In the film, we’ll see Anne Hathaway playing the role of Jules Ostin, the frazzled company CEO and in simple words, Robert De Niro aka Ben’s boss. After playing an intern to an edgy boss in Devil Wears Prada, we’ll see Anne’s as the boss now and having an intern under hew own command in the upcoming film The Intern.
The trailer also reveals that as the film progresses how Anne’s character and Ben become good friends and business associates. The film also stars Adam DeVine, Anders Holm, Reid Scott and Rene Russo who work in Jules Ostin’s workplace. In the film, we’ll see Jules and Ben learn some very valuable lessons from each other. The comedy film The Intern is all set to hit the theatres on September 25, 2015.
