UK’s Independent TV production house Company Pictures have appointed Michele Buck as their Chief Executive Officer. Company Pictures is an extended part of production house All3Media jointly owned by Discovery Communications and Liberty Global. Buck who was previously working with Mammoth Screen, the company co-founded by her, has stepped down from the position of joint managing director there and is expected to join her post at Company Pictures from July 1.
Michele Buck has previously worked with ITV and United Productions apart from her time at Mammoth Screen. She has worked on individual programs for BBC One and BBC Two channel shows. Buck has worked for shows Parade’s End, Endeavour and Poldark previously. Buck stated, “I will relish the challenge of leading Company Pictures into its next phase and growing its already distinctive drama portfolio. I’ll be looking to build upon the existing Company reputation by seeking to attract new talent and great new projects to take the company onwards and upwards.”

Thrilled about having Michele on board, All3Media’s CEO Jane Turton expressed her eagerness to work with Buck again. Jane added, “We very much look forward to welcoming Michele. Established in 1998, Company Pictures have given shows like Generation Kill for HBO, Skins, Shameless, Talk To Me, The Palace, The Invisible, The Silence, Beaver Falls, Trucker, Wolf Hall, The Missing, White Queen and The Village among others. Some of the writers and directors that have worked with them previously include Paul Abbott, Bryan Elsley, Danny Brocklehurst, Peter Flannery, Billy Ivory and Dearbhla Walsh.
