For some mortal souls, the thrill and amazement in Shah Rukh Khan’s film, Raees wasn’t enough. They had to do something funky and crazy.
Dipraj Jadhav Edits has come up with a kickass mashup of the film’s trailer along with The Dark Knight, which totally will leave bemused. Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogues, Heath Ledger’s the Joker and a Batman who speaks like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, this one’s competing even with the actual trailer!! The mash-up is so perfect that it almost seems like, it was shot with Joker and Batman speaking those dialogues. Simply amazing!!
The first trailer of Raees left people craving for more. Miyan Bhai absolutely floored people with his style and attitude. Social media went nuts as soon as the much delayed trailer was released and even screened live in a selected few cinema halls. On YouTube, the trailer crossed 19 million views in just three days, leaving behind Salman Khan’s Sultan trailer.
Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker is iconic and this performance even got him an Academy Awards. The charming actor subsequently died due to a drug overdose which was also blamed on how hard he worked on his performance as Joker.
Enjoy the mash-up and tell us what you think?
Raees is scheduled for January 25, 2017, release.

Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra are back on bikes with ‘Dhoom 3’ and have Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif for company.
The ‘Dhoom’ franchise films have always been about the hero. Whether it was John Abraham bike antics in the first film, an intellectual and stylish Hrithik Roshan in the second, no one mostly followed ‘Dhoom’ for its heroes’, but for its villains. Quite like, one may say the Christopher Nolan Batman series.
So it seems all the more a coincidence when the third ‘Dhoom’ – ‘Dhoom 3’ – bears many resemblances to ‘The Dark Knight’ but also another of Christopher Nolan’s films in ‘The Prestige’.
Maybe it’s mostly due to the fact that both ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Dhoom 3’ have shot in the city of Chicago, but that’s not all. The trailer opens with a child Aamir Khan and his mentor and dad Jackie Shroff showing off tricks on the stage just like Christian Bale did so in ‘The Prestige’.
Fast forward to Aamir Khan running down a building – yes, you heard that right – running vertically down a building with a lot of currency in the air around him. He sure knows how to make an exit!
Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra – who would have thought this tag-team would last so many years and missions – return to stop this thief who leaves jibes in Hindi and a Joker mask too. (Another ‘The Dark Knight’ reference.)
Only that Aamir Khan is a literal clown. He runs a circus and Katrina Kaif, who gets very less screen space here, is an acrobat in his circus. And it’s up to Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra to stop the Joker’s tricks and illusions.
The director Vijay Krishna Acharya last directed ‘Tashan’ – one praised for its style. The ‘Dhoom’ films haven’t been short of style, but Acharya carries off his ‘Tashan’ form onto ‘Dhoom 3’. The film looks magnificent and beautiful. There were plenty of money shots in the trailer – from Aamir running down a building or his bike crossing a bridge.
‘Dhoom 3’ is sure going to be a riot on the big screen. What makes the wait worse is that it is India’s first IMAX film and will have Dolby Atmos sound too. When ‘Dhoom 3’ releases on 21 December, 2013, be prepared for a bombastic Christmas ‘Dhoom’.

MUMBAI: Looks like director Nikhil Advani’s upcoming ‘D-Day’ got a shot in the arm with the Hollywood connection. The stunts and the action in the film have been directed by Ton Struthers and John Street, stunt coordinators who have worked on major Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Inception’, ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ and ‘Terminator: Salvation’.
The film ‘D-Day’ revolves around the extradition of a dangerous don from Pakistan to India. It boasts of some high-octane stunts and action set-pieces.
Arjun Rampal says, “It’s intelligent and calculative action. Every actor was specifically trained, keeping in mind the character he/she played. It was an energising and intriguing experience.” The actors were trained in hand-to-hand combat skills as well as martial arts like kickboxing.
Irrfan Khan, who plays an undercover agent said, “The training schedule was an eye-opener. A lot of attention was given to details that are often overlooked. For example, the right way to hold a gun with an injured arm.” It was the first time, Irrfan Khan said, that he was doing serious action for which the training schedules had begun a month before the film’s shoot.
Nikhil Advani, who has forayed into the action genre for the first time said, “Action is a vital part of the screenplay. Instead of going for regular, gravity-defying stunts, I wanted to keep them as authentic as possible.”
Tom Struthers agrees, “The movie has a patriotic element to it. So, it was essential that it reflected in the body language of the actors, especially in the stunt scenes. They were taught to fight like soldiers.”
‘D-Day’ release on 19 July, 2013 and stars Rishi Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Shruti Haasan beside Arjun Rampal and Irrfan Khan.

Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ has overshadowed all new Hindi releases at the box office this week.
MUMBAI: Batman has officially taken over. Shadowing all new Hindi releases, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ has taken an excellent opening at the box-office on its first day.
The opening collections of Christopher Nolan’s latest in the Batman Series, starring Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway among an ensemble cast, are in the range of Rs 56 million (Rs 5.60 crore) net.
This puts the film miles ahead of new Bollywood releases this week – ‘Challo Driver’, ‘Gattu’ and ‘Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai’ saw an extremely poor response. This is also owing to the fact that previous big releases ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Bol Bachchan’ still reigned over the multiplexes and these films hardly got any theatres to be screened at.
Shooter, at US premiere of Batman movie, who killed 12 and injured 58, calls himself ‘The Joker’.
DENVER: The suspect in the mass shooting at the midnight premiere of the new Batman movie in suburban Denver Friday had coloured his hair red and told police he was “the Joker,” a media report said.
The suspect made the claim of being the fictional archenemy of Batman during the investigation of the shooting early Friday in a movie theatre showing “The Dark Knight Rises”, CNN said citing a federal law enforcement source.
At least 12 people were killed and 58 were injured, one fewer than earlier reported, in the rampage at the midnight premiere of the movie in Aurora, about 16 km from downtown Denver in Colorado state.
Pentagon officials have confirmed at least one sailor and two airmen were among the injured in the shooting. They also confirmed that the alleged gunman in this incident, James Holmes, is not a past or current member of any branch or component of the US armed forces.
Of those injured “nearly everyone was shot,” Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said Friday night, adding that a handful of people were hurt in the resulting chaos.
Ten of the victims were killed inside the theatre while two others died at hospitals. As of Friday evening, the 10 bodies had been removed from the complex and authorities were preparing to begin “the agonizing process” of notifying families, Oates was quoted as saying.
Oates declined to comment on Holmes’ appearance other than to describe what he was wearing, and said he would not release his booking photo “for investigative reasons.”
Police say Holmes, 24, dressed head-to-toe in protective tactical gear, set off two devices of some kind before spraying the Century 16 theatre with bullets from an AR-15 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and at least one of two .40-caliber handguns police recovered at the scene.
Oates said the guns were purchased legally by Holmes at stores in the Denver area in the past two months. More than 6,000 rounds of ammunition were also purchased online, according to Oates.
Calling for the country to unite as one and support the victims, President Barack Obama cancelled campaign events Friday, telling supporters in Fort Myers, Florida, that “there will be other days for politics.”
“This will be a day for prayer and reflection,” he said. Flags at the White House were lowered to half-mast Friday afternoon in honour of the victims.
Christopher Nolan, director of “The Dark Knight Rises,” condemned the shooting as “savage” and “appalling.”
MUMBAI: Batman fans have reason to be happy. The concluding movie of the Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises has come bearing good news. The director has released a comprehensive featurette that integrates new footage with material released in previous trailers, and is intercut with interviews with principal cast and crew.
This featurette, all of 13 minutes, describes the storyline, profiles the characters and also includes behind-the-scenes footage. Commentary from everyone on the set, including decorators and stuntmen give subtle clues about the drama without revealing everything about the 2:24 hour movie.
You will also find details about the shooting locations, including that of Wayne Manor and the Batcave (now rebuilt), Pittsburgh’s football field and also the newest Batmobile (devised by Lucius Fox) which is now part hovercraft and part jet.
Expect interviews with Nolan, the producers, Oscar winner Christian Bale (The Fighter) as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada) as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Tom Hardy (Inception) as Bane, and Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose). Along with them, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon and Oscar winners Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules) playing Alfred and Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) as Lucius Fox have also commented on their roles.
