Mumbai: Kya Mast Hai life, Disney Channel India’s latest original production mirroring the lives of tweens, is all set to debut this summer. Featuring a fresh and vibrant cast, the series incorporates several truths and trends of tweens today. The series draws insights from Disney’s KidSense 3 – an in-depth qualitative study on tweens unveiled by Disney Channel earlier this year.
Walt Disney Television International India senior vice president and managing director Antoine Villeneuve said, “Tweens today are wise and wired, yet vulnerable; going through the highs and lows of life with fun, friendships and a lot of maturity. Kya Mast Hai Life follows Disney Channel’s philosophy of reflecting them, their families, their universe in an entertaining, safe and family inclusive environment.”
Starting 27 April, Monday to Friday at 7 pm, the series will follow the lives of five tweens whose friendship helps them have fun and enjoy the journey of growing up. The story revolves around Vir played by Shaheer Sheikh, Ragini played by Nazneen, Ritu played by Sana Sheikh, Zenia played by Shweta Tripathi and Zeeshan played by Ashish Juneja, each reflecting the various colors and hues of tweens today. Leading TV actress Maninee De will play Ragini’s mother Sushmita Juneja.
The title montage track for the show has been composed by Sangeet and Siddharth Haldipur and sung by Sangeet and Vasudha. Disney Channel has commissioned SOL to produce the show.
