Pooja Bedi and Marc Robinson gave fire to controversy after they appeared in a condom advertisement in 1991. The advertisement showed them taking a shower together. The advertisement was considered as one of the boldest on the Indian television and was banned by Doordarshan on the grounds that the ad hurt the conservative sensibilities and feeling of the Indian society.
