The Enthiran hit maker was highly impressed by Ranjith’s thriller film Madras that was critically acclaimed. It is definitely a big moment for Ranjith who has directed only two films till date, Attakathi and Madras. Reportedly Ranjith has already started with the preparations of the film and if everything goes according to planning the film will start rolling this August.
According to sources the crew of the film forms of cinematographer G. Murali, editor Praveen KL, art director Ramalingam and choreographer Sathish. Earlier the news stated that actress Nayantara is also being approached for a part in the film. Ranjith has been spending quite some time abroad recently to take a look at the locations for shooting as per which Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong have been shortlisted for the film’s foreign locations. Rest of the shoot will be finished in Chennai and overall the schedule has been fixed for span of four months.
To get an opportunity to direct a superstar like Rajinikanth is nothing short of a dream come true and that proves from the Twitter messages the director has been getting, congratulating him on his next big venture. Looks like Rajinikanth wants to try a different style of film this time as director Ranjith is known for doing intense reality based films with less glamour and avoids doing loud action scenes. Rajinikanth’s film with Shankar, Enthiran 2 has reportedly been pushed to next year.
