Rajat Kapoor to host Nat Geo Genius

MUMBAI: National Geographic Channel and Lufthansa have launched an Indian version of the internationally acclaimed quiz show Lufthansa Nat Geo Genius. Hosted by actor and director Rajat Kapoor, Lufthansa Nat Geo Genius will be telecast every Saturday at 9pm from 19 January.

This unique quiz show will allow curious minds to compete against each other to finally hone in on the person who knows the most about each and every country in the world. Using the globe as a racetrack, the contestants embark on a journey around across countries, as they attempt to outperform each other in their knowledge about various countries and their culture.

The ultimate winner will win an all-expenses-paid trip to the destination of their dreams, flying in Lufthansa’s luxurious first class.

“Nat Geo Genius received a great response when its international version was first showcased in India a few years back,” said National Geographic Channel-South-Asia managing director Nikhil Mirchandani. He added, “This is in line with our constant endeavour to bring to our viewers content that is relevant and relatable.”

“Lufthansa is delighted to be partnering with National Geographic Channel in this project, taking viewers on an exciting virtual journey across the globe. This is a first of its kind initiative for Lufthansa, and is in keeping with our constant commitment to providing innovation for our customers in India, an extremely important market for the airline,” said Lufthansa director south asia Werner Heesen.
