[tps_footer]Hollywood actors Rupert Grint, Bonnir Wright, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch and Katie Leung, stars of Harry Potter series, reunited on Friday January 29, 2016. Rupert, who played Ron Weasley, and Bonnie, who played Ginny Weasley, were both present at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida.
A panel was held for the former Harry Potter cast where they interacted with media. The actors mourned over sudden passing of their fellow cast mate, Alan Rickman. Alan, who played the iconic character of Professor Severus Snape, passed away after suffering from cancer. During the Q&A panel, Rupert said that it was quite a side swipe for him. He was devastated after hearing the news. Matthew Lewis, who portrayed the character of Neville Longbottom said Alan was the sweetest guy and very special. It was very sad to see him go. Evanna Lynch, famously known as Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter series, said it was shocking. She said that he showed so much warmth and fun on the sets, the gravitas that he carried with him was noticed by everyone. She further added that he was so generous as a person and in his art.
The actors also spoke about the upcoming prequel of Harry Potter movie, ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’. Matthew said that he had visited the sets recently and he was blown away by what they have in store for all the fans. He showed his excitement to watch the film and also said that he looking forward to see what Eddie Redmayne will bring to the wizarding world. Rupert Grint jokingly said that they did a huge mistake by not casting him in the prequel. Rupert hasn’t changed a bit.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is divided between Universal’s two parks — Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios — with the Hogwarts Express train connecting the two.
