The film stars have all chipped in their share of money ranging from Rs. 5 lacs to as much as Rs. 5 crores! Yes, if reports are to be trusted, it is being said that actor Vijay is all set to donated a whooping sum of Rs. 5 crores to the victims. Vijay: Actor Vijay has probably done the most generous act of all by deciding to donate Rs. 5 crore to the Chennai Floods relief fund. The actor is also helping out in other ways by doing his bit for the food, shelter and rescue help.
Ajith: Thala Ajith has done a tremendous job in helping out people in the hour of need without seeking publicity. The actor sheltered more than 180 people who were stranded, and distributed hotly prepared meals to nearly 400 peopled. Plus he is all set to donate Rs. 1 crore to the relief fund.
Rajinikanth: Actor Rajinikanth has been too busy with the back to back shoot of his films and is currently not in Chennai during the floods. However the Tamil icon donated Rs. 10 lakhs for the victims and passed on his prayers too.
Dhanush: Other than donating Rs. 5 lakhs, Dhanush was one of the first actors to provide help to the needy by undertaking distribution of food and actively sharing contact information through his Twitter handle.
Allu Arjun: Actor Allu Arjun announced his generous donation of Rs. 25 lakhs to the Chennai Floods victim by writing on Twitter, “”I would like to donate 25 lakh to Chennai flood relief. I spent 18 years of my early life there. It made me who I am today. I love u Chennai”
Suriya: Suriya was also devastated to learn about the fate of Chennai while the actor was vacationing abroad. He donated Rs. 25 lakhs and expressed his grief through a series of tweets, and also shared vital information for rescue.
NTR Jr.: Junior NTR did his bit to help the Chennai Floods victim by donating Rs. 10 lakhs. He wrote on Twitter, “#PrayforChennai it’s time to be humans by helping each other when nature tests our integrity, I request everyone to help the needed in the best ways possible. am gonna do mine”
Mahesh Babu: Srimanthudu star Mahesh Babu has been awfully quiet about the Chennai mishap but however took time out to contribute Rs. 10 lakhs to the relief fund.

Ravi Teja: Actor Ravi Teja who is currently filming Bengal Tiger also made a generous contribution to the Chennai Floods. He reportedly donated an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs to the CM’s relief fund.
